Labone Mixed-Use Development - Phase 1

This project involved challenging groundworks and structural construction for a 6-storey mixed-use building on a constrained urban site. Our scope included site investigation, excavation, foundations, structural frame, and core construction.

Site investigation revealed varying soil conditions requiring a piled foundation solution. We installed 48 reinforced concrete piles to depths of 15-20m, carefully managing the process to minimise vibration impact on neighbouring properties.

The reinforced concrete frame uses post-tensioned slabs to achieve the long spans required for flexible retail space on the ground floor. Our formwork design allowed rapid construction of the repetitive upper floors. All work was sequenced to maintain safe access through the busy urban area.

This phase demonstrates our expertise in complex urban construction, ground engineering, and structural works.
